Weyerhaeuser Timberlands provides recreation opportunities as a public service to the communities surrounding our properties. We offer leases for exclusive recreation rights on these properties. It is expected that the exclusive lease fosters a mutually beneficial relationship where-in lease holders may control access and improve wildlife habitat while we benefit from the custodial interests of the lease holders. As these leases become available on parcels of our land we ask prospective lessees to submit the price they are willing to pay for the exclusive recreation rights. This approach is meant to fairly accommodate past lease holders, new lease holders, interested parties, and neighboring landowners. In many cases leases are reserved for adjacent landowners or for renewal to previous lessees.
